I made this turtle for my ceramics class during my junior year of high school. From box turtles walking through my backyard to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I have always found turtles fascinating, humble, and resilient. I chose to make this piece for the final project of my ceramics class. This piece is of a three-toed box turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis).
