Ermine Skull    2018
This piece was for a project while I was in graduate school at Teton Science Schools. I had to create species accounts about the wildlife I saw in everyday life in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Species accounts are detailed entries about the life histories of different types of wildlife . They include drawings, life history, and descriptions of adaptations of the wildlife. I chose the ermine because there was one I caught skirting across my cabin floor. Skulls give more information about the story of that species, as well as that individual, than meets the eye. Drawing these intricacies added a new dimension beyond just studying the skull.

  1. I really like how unfussy this is. It would make a great image on the front of a t-shirt. Check out the work of Basquiat!
