This cup was thrown on the potters wheel.  Cups (and most pots) are tricky in that they should find balance between looking nice and working nice - the age old “form vs function” debate.  Its weight, balance and handle should all be considered.  I enjoy forms that seem simple, understated and modest, but after using them for a while, they grow on you.  

My hope is that my work does some of that.
